< HomeOctober 31, 2006 Jessie and I took a brief tour of the area and got some beautiful shots of the fall foilage. It was a nice little break. The evening was spent at Freed's house. Signe and I stayed in with the babies while the girls went out with Mike and Mike. The guys got to freeze as the kids did their candy hunting. from Jessie & Jeridy's fall tour- beautiful! October 29, 2006 Michael and the kids have all been sick lately. Luckily I haven't gotten it. I thought I'd be good and trim up all the bushes and such around our house (to get outdoors away from the sickness, mainly). I did pretty well until I got to the very last one, at which time I proceeded to cut right through the live extension cord! Thanks be to Black and Decker for making that darn handle out of plastic. Electrocution due to stupid moves like that would not have been so wonderful... We spent the weekend back at the Villa. The girls didn't want to leave. They miss going there. There were new kittens at the farm this time, so we had to tear Emily away from grandma's house. We also stopped by to see great GG Horner. Chase loved both of them holding him. He cooed and kicked and smiled. It made Grandpa so happy that Chase wasn't scared and seemed to enjoy being with them. 10/24/06: The girls went to the nursing homes in their outfits one night w/ Aunt Jai & Breonna.
10/30/06: This guy loves the keyboard, the camera, and anything that looks interesting. He grabs for everything. We got out the spare keyboard so I could actually work at the computer. October 23, 2006 We enjoyed some time out at the local pumpkin patch with my parents this year. The girls had fun playing the games, coloring pictures, riding the hayrack ride, going through the maze (we were totally lost), and picking out pumpkins. Chase didn't go this year, but it was pretty darn cold, so that was a good thing. We saw three of our different neighbor families out there at the same time we went- small world considering it's about 30 minutes from here. Michael got me a new phone this weekend. I now have text messaging and the camera phone and all those gadgets. It has made it simpler to 'chat' with my friends without being on the phone or the computer. We'll see how that goes. 10/23/06 Girls, Papa John, Grandma Jenny 10/22/06: Cute Chasey Poo-skins, sitting pretty October 17, 2006 Here is my beautiful Emily. She's getting to be such a big girl. She's so smart too (and a smart mouth, just like her momma). Emily and Bethany love daddy so much. Bethany cries endlessly if he leaves her home with me. Last night was Father's Night at the preschool, so Michael and Emily left for that. You'd think it was the end of the world that she had to stay with Momma. Chase is getting so big that we finally had to take his little sleeper area out of the pack-n-play and just put him in the big part. Looking back at pictures of Bethany- they could just be twins. When we went home this weekend though, he and Breonna look SO much alike it's not funny. (Good thing we have DNA proof of that daddy!). This weekend was the Turkey supper at the church back home. We got to see the progression on Aunt Joni's new house too. It'll be done soon, sis!
My Beautiful Emily, 4 years old October 12, 2006 The girls had the hats and the hair pretties out tonight. Since Chase has so much pretty hair, we had to give it a test drive. He's so pretty. Check out the video to see Bethany's dancing skills. VIDEO: Bethie dancing 'Smack That' (from 10/12/06)

Strawberry Bessie-boo October 10, 2006 I went to Oklahoma to have a telemedicine site visit at Integris Baptist Medical Center. It was interesting and informative. I had a very nice time and enjoyed being away for the day. Photographed by Miss Emily October 6, 2006 Emily had her very first field trip today. It was cute to see all of those little preschoolers running around in their yellow Angel shirts. They got to climb all over army equipment, go in the tank and in the big trucks, and see real army guys! I was so glad that I got to go. Emily inside of an Army tank on her field trip In the big Army truck- honking the loud horn Terra stopped here at the house. She hasn't seen the place since before Bethany was born. Anthony came this time. Good to see you again finally!! I've missed you so darn much. You really need to move back to Kansas. I suppose I'll have to pack up the clan and come to visit you sometime- what an adventure that would be... Anthony, Terra, & my girls
Jeridy, Terra, and Chaser -- I love you chicka! October 5, 2006 I'm pretty excited to see my friend again. It's been FOREVER!! We changed our plans so that we could go back home. Can't wait to see you! I've been exercising and I do some at home when I don't have time to go to the Y. Chase is very entertained- he gets a real kick out of seeing me run on the treadmill. Good thing he's a baby because I wouldn't want any other guys laughing at me. Michael got motivated to decorate for Halloween. The girls loved it. Yikes- Giant spider!! Dorothy, the Scarecrow, & the Munchkin 10/5/06: Bethany playing catch with Daddy October 4, 2006 Chase is getting bigger all the time. He does this thing where he sort of mimics our sounds. He likes to eat now and does well. He goes crazy bouncing when I get home. He smiles, kicks, and makes happy high-pitched noises. It's cute. He also likes to look at pictures of himself, the girls and momma and daddy. He's a regular playin' fool when we put him in the exersaucer. He's not so great with the jumper now, but he's starting to test it. Chase is 5 months old! October 1, 2006 Wow, we're back to October again. The girls are excited for Halloween already. They have been playing constantly. I tell them that that's their 'job', which it really is I guess. They have no clue how to clean up after themselves though, so today they got all of their toys taken away if they were on the floor. They have very few left! These sweet kids decided to remove all of the roses from the rose bushes today. Needless to say, Michael was quite unhappy. I had a conference to attend for my speech licensure renewal this weekend. I needed to get away. That wasn't my ideal escape plan, but I still got to get away for awhile. I learned some new things while I was at it too, so I guess it was time well spent. And why not get paid to learn? 10/1/06: Sweet Bethany & Emily 10/1/06: Not-So-Sweet Girls aka 'Rose Killers' September 30, 2006 Chase is a LOUD little boy. He is very animated as well. Despite his inability to talk, he surely does communicate with us! VIDEO: Chase playing with momma (from 10/1/06)
The Faces of Chase September 23, 2006 Michael took Emily and his parents to a K-State football game. They were all decked out in purple. I guess they enjoyed their time. I spent the day at home with Chaser and Bessie-boo. We even went to the mall together. They about drove me nuts, but I survived (barely). September 16-19, 2006 Michael got to get away for awhile. He had a convention in Texas. We got to stay home and enjoy the weekend together. Luckily, Aunt Jaimee and baby Bree came and stayed with us. While they were here Breonna started doing that army crawling. She sits up now and even claps her hands. She has several teeth too. She's a cutie. It seems crazy that Chase will be doing these things so soon. September 10, 2006 Chase started rolling over from his back to his tummy this week. He has done it several times now. He loves seeing his sisters and what they're up to so he pushes right up when he's on his tummy. He's always playing with his feet and smiling at us. Chase has super lungs. That baby cry is long gone and has been replaced by this terrible scream that may very well cause some noise-induced hearing loss if he doesn't stop it soon. He has started to play in the exersaucer some now and entertaining himself for longer periods with his mobile and other baby toys. His hair is getting thinner, but there's still a lot there. We saw pictures of Tom Cruise's baby, Suri, this week. She is so beautiful- we think they'd be a good match with their big blue eyes and lots of dark hair! We've heard a few consonants from him, but he's mostly still cooing at us. His laugh still sounds more like a little lamb than anything else. It's too funny. Chasey-pooskins, 4 months old Today is my mom's 49th birthday. She's not officially old quite yet! She's a full time grandma now. I guess you have to be when you have 9 grandkids, all within about 2 hours (and 3 of those within 20 miles) from her house! Grandma Jenny & Drooly Chase 8/27/06 September 4, 2006 We spent Labor Day weekend back home visiting family. Emily liked staying the night at the farm and with her friend Kelsi. Bethany just couldn't stay over yet, even though she really wanted to. We saw lots of family- it's good that we live so close!
Papa John helping Chase see the parade Emily hitches a ride on Momma's back Too darn noisy for Christiane!
