NOVEMBER 24, 2004 Our first snow of the season 11/24/04. It's our winter wonderland! Today was the first snow of the season. It's so crazy that just last week I was walking around Philadelphia without even a jacket. I received bad news while I was away- my job as a director was downsized. I am now looking for other opportunities. Let me know of anything that you think might be a good fit for me! Michael really enjoyed the Eagles game. He took lots of pictures. I had a great time visiting with Jerra and Darrell and seeing their baby Emily. Bethany and their Emily got along so well. They both would crawl and follow each other around. It was just too cute! They took lots of pictures, so when they send them over we'll be sure to post them in November's pic section. Our big girl Emily stayed with Aunt Jennifer (Jenn-Jenn) while we were away. Jennifer gave Emily a haircut while she was there. Emily said, "I don't like the haircut!". Emily has been going around singing Jingle Bells and lots of other tunes lately. I love to hear her interpretation of the words. Today Jaimee was at our house. She is planning to come stay with us in Salina while she completes her education. She was checking around for jobs today. Emily always loves to see Aunt Jaimee. She'll be great to have around. We're going to get to see a lot of family over the Thanksgiving weekend. We're heading out soon to enjoy our time together. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!
Bethany bundled up for the snowy weather Darrell and Michael showing off their game tickets 11-21-04 NOVEMBER 16, 2004 Bethany is walking. She is much more steady now than she has been. She has been attempting to take steps for awhile, but she's more successful now. She turns without losing her balance and will go from one person to another or one piece of furniture to another. She is also wanting to grab the spoon or fork while we're feeding her. She wants to do it herself, but really can't yet. It's so neat to watch her grow and change. Emily loves to hug Bethie. She isn't afraid to make her cry, but will quickly give a toy back to make her stop. She has started saying, "it's okay, Bethie" when she cries too. She also gives us tips on how to make her stop- give her her poosh (pacifier), give her a bottle, etc. Emily is the little momma now. She carries around her baby doll (that she calls her 'golly') or her stuffed animals and lays them down, covers them up and will even feed them. What a grown up girl! She was quite traumatized by Halloween though. She is really afriad of ghosts and monsters. She talks about them all of the time and even wakes up and has to come to bed with daddy so he can, 'protect me'. Poor thing! We're gearing up for the (good) holidays now. They seem to wrap around so quickly. Wasn't it just Christmas?? I'm heading out for my Speech convention in Philadelphia. It'll be a few days off work and fending for myself in the big city! Michael and Bethany will join me there on Saturday. We're excited to see our friends Jerra and Darrel and their baby Emily. Michael is super excited to attend the Eagles football game. Darrell already teased him by sending over a copy of the tickets. Guys are so funny. Michael spent last weekend hunting on opening day of pheasant season. We got to see the grandmas. We also got to visit the 'big city' of Larned for another family gathering. I have been exercising to try to eliminate all visual signs of having two kids (yeah right!) and to try to be an overall healthier person. I have a really nice girl that has helped me train. She's in AMBUCS with me too. It's nice to have someone that has a lot in common with me that will help keep me motivated. Wish me luck! NOVEMBER 11, 2004 Our new furniture finally came. Now people don't think, "oh those poor people, they can't even afford to furnish their home". It's pretty and fills the room. Michael picked out some curtains finally. (It's only been a year and a half since we moved in!) NOVEMBER 8, 2004 Hello everyone. We're a little bit behind on the pictures, but Michael finally posted September. October is over, so just as soon as I can get him motivated, we'll get them on there too (including lots of cute Zoo-Boo and Halloween pics). OCTOBER 27, 2004
Last night Emily and Bethany had a costume party at the skating rink. They were just too cute as lady bugs. Just look at them! Emily had big enough feet to even fit into some skates. She really loved it. She wasn't good at it, but she wanted to have a go at it by herself. She was on the ground if we weren't holding her. She got better, but didn't last too long. We were all tired after that crazy party! Bethie turned 9 months this past week. Time has been flying by. Daddy watched them all last week while I was away in Baltimore. He survived!! These days we're starting to plan for our Christmas party for my work and for our 10th class reunion. That will come up this next spring but you have to start early on those things. Our house updates are pretty well completed for now. Once our furniture is delivered for upstairs, we'll be done (until we think of something else to do). My MBA classes ended a couple of weeks ago. I finished 6 credit hours and got As in 8 weeks. I'm taking a break this quarter since I'm going to be gone too much. I start back up in January. OCTOBER 19, 2004 Emily is looking so much like a big girl lately. Her hair has grown out Bethany is standing more, and of course falling more. She has been My dad is 50 years old today. He stopped by last night with mom, Matthew, The girls had a sitter last night while we were home just so that they could Our carpet upstairs is done now. Michael put tile flooring in the OCTOBER 3, 2004 Today was a hard day. It started at 2:30am when Bethany decided to wake up. I can't believe it's already October. It was so chilly out yesterday morning I go back to Baltimore in a few weeks. Michael is already keeping tallies on
